“I am sorry. It’s cancer.” That’s what the doctor said to Amy. Since then, there have been thousands of questions throughout her cancer journey – treatment options, side effects, and life. She was lost and often felt helpless. 

Unfortunately, Amy is not alone. Globally, there are more than 19MM new cancer cases annually. But we only have less than one oncologist per 370 patients. Our distressed healthcare system cannot provide sufficient support for patients during their cancer journey.  

That is why we have chosen to leverage recent advancements in chatbot technology and our extended healthcare team to develop Emma - a cancer companion chatbot to help millions of cancer patients. Our team includes postdocs and PhDs in NLP, medical A.I., oncology doctors and pharmacists.  

With support from a leading oncology pharmaceutical company, we launched Emma at a North American top 10 cancer center in 2023, with many more to come. We can make a difference.
